Hello everyone,
I am so excited to be celebrating the 3 year anniversary of the Neurodiverse Love podcast and Instagram account this month. When my dear friend Olga and I started Season 1 of the podcast 3 years ago, we hoped that our lived experiences and the lessons we had learned in our neurodiverse relationships would help at least one person, or couple, better understand their mixed-neurotype relationship. Fast forward to October, 2023 and I now have almost 5,000 followers on IG and almost 170,000 downloads of the podcast. In addition, I have listeners in more then 60 countries throughout the world. I am honored and blessed to have been able to create the Neurodiverse Love community and to help bring more information and resources to you and your partner, so that you can better understand each other and explore what you each need to thrive.
To celebrate the 3 year anniversary of Neurodiverse Love, I am releasing the Neurodiverse Love Conversation Card Workbook. This downloadable digital workbook is only $12.97 and includes the 52 questions from the Neurodiverse Love Conversation Card Deck, and another 52 questions for you and your partner to explore together to learn even more about each other. In addition, the workbook gives you a place to record the answers to all the questions, so that you can review what you each want or need in life and in your relationship. I hope that all of you will invest in your relationship by buying your workbook today by clicking here and that you will use this important tool to get to know more about yourself and your partner.
I am also excited to be co-facilitating a new workshop for adult children of an autistic partner. Whether you knew your parent was autistic while you were growing up, or not, I would like to invite you to join me and my colleague Laurie Budlong-Morse, LMFT (www.lauriebmorse.com) for a live online workshop on 10/19 from 7-9pm EST for "Adult Children of Autistic Parents". We hope that this will be a unique opportunity for us to gather, connect, reflect and understand more about our relationships with our autistic parent(s), some of whom may never have known or acknowledged their neurodivergence.
Laurie and I both grew up with parents who did not know they were autistic and we now understand so much more about our parents and how our childhood has had an impact on some of our current and past relationships. I've talked about my father's "unknown neurodiversity" on the Neurodiverse Love podcast, but unfortunately it was not something I had an opportunity to discuss with him, as he passed away in 2005, never understanding his own neurology.
We hope this workshop called "Growing Up With A Parent With Unnamed Autism" will help many of you better understand things that you may have experienced in childhood, that may have confused you or created challenges that may not have been resolved. There will be time for Q&A, so please email your questions to neurodiverselove4u@gmail.com, or feel free to ask them during the workshop.
The workshop will be held on Zoom and is only $25, so if you would like to join us for this very special night please click here to reserve your space. Please note that live attendance is required to access this workshop as it "will not be recorded" to respect the privacy of the participants. If you need any additional information about the workshop, please let me know.
I look forward to seeing many of you on 10/19 at 7pm EST.
